They’re friendly, cute and crazy about children. They’re a family of resident dolphins that live in the Sado estuary called “bottlenose”, a very common specie of dolphins. On the 15th September the city of Setúbal commemorates its annual public holiday also known as “Bocage Day” in honour to the Neoclassic poet born in Setúbal in 1765.
The 3rd International World Fishing Competition on an anchored boat takes place on the 4th-12th September in the Sado Estuary with the participation of more than 50 athletes from six different nationalities.
After the success of last year’s event, Setúbal will once again host the official Eurovision party in Portugal on the 11th September. This event will take place at the open air “Auditório José Afonso”, on the Luisa Todi Avenue in Setúbal and will bring together artists from nine different European countries that were contestants from several editions of the Eurovision music contest.
