Summer Pin at Palmela

Palmela will celebrate on the next 29 July the Summer Pin. Organized by Municipality of Palmela, Teatro O Bando and FIAR Association. This event will be on the Palmela Castle viewpoint, with several actors, lyric singers, philharmonic orchestra, chorus and local associations and the wonderful landscapes views over Arrabida Hills. The show will start at 10 pm and it is free! The organization suggests that you take a chair one blanket and flashlight. Free entrance.

Traditions, Tastes and Azeitão Aromas

From 20th till 22nd May it will happen an amazing event in Vila Nogueira de Azeitão, with wine tasting, regional products and tasty food. This event is called "Tradições, Sabores e Aromas de Azeitão" (translation : "Traditions, Tastes and Azeitão Aromas").

Between conversations of the taverns and rural life, its the 2nd edition organized by Junta Freguesia S. Lourenço with the support of Municipality of Setúbal. Music, traditional games, workshops and thematic parade´s, its activities that you will have besides Street Theater called "O Manel da Horta e suas Marias na Taberna do Jacinto", "Árvores, verdes Árvores" and "Espanta-pardais".

From Setubal to the world, Hands on Approach

Hands on Approach , a world music band that released the 5th Album called "High and Above". Rui David , Sérgio André Mendes, João Luís and João Coelho) are back with the High and Above tour 2011 .

Stronger than ever, they released already three wonderful singles called "Days of Our Own", "High and Above" and "Black Tears" (feating Ana Free). This year, Hands on Approach (website Facebook) celebrates 15 years of career since Rui David was singing and playing when a DJ contact him to play live on a radio show. "Blown", "Moving Spirit", "Groovin´on Monster´s Eye-balls” and "10 anos – Casino Figueira" are the previous debut albuns releases.

Dolphin paintings contest in Setúbal

The City Hall of Setúbal organizes a painting competition. The theme? Will be twenty statues of dolphins in three different positions of the flagship movement of these animals: leaving, flying and entering into the water.

The statues will be manufactured by City Hall and each individual or grupal competitors will have to paint . The organization will provide also materials and space for paintings. Get more details here .
